
225g (8oz) self raising flour
pinch of salt
55g (2oz) butter
25g (1oz) caster sugar
150ml (5 fl oz) milk
Mix flour and salt and then rub in the butter.
Stir in sugar and then milk to form a soft dough.
Knead lightly and pat out to 2cm (3/4") thick.
Cut into 5cm (2") circles and place on baking sheet.
Brush with milk and bake at 220C (425F)
